Metaphysical insights and ceremonies are based on correspondences: the connections between different streams of esoteric symbols and thought. This class explores the mystical lings spanning the world’s religious traditions, including pagan pantheons, Egyptian hieroglyphs, Qabalah, astrology Tarot, I Ching, alchemical sigils, runes and the common emblems of the Freemasons, Rosicrucians, etc. The course explores these connections to the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms and touches on cultural perspectives of symbol around the world.
